The Boone Avenue Walls Foundation, founded by the storied Bronx-based graffiti writer WEN COD, is a community-based effort that hosts the Annual Boone Avenue Walls festival right here in New York City, also known as the mecca of Graffiti. Celebrating our 11th anniversary this year, we actively work to improve the quality of life of our local communities in the Bronx and beyond, using Graffiti as a teaching tool to promote a different side of urban renewal a more inclusive form of beautification and long term community empowerment through arts and environmental education. Through these efforts, we strive to help connect, organize and inspire community-minded folks from all walks of life as well as prepare and equip a new generation of aspiring artists and creative community leaders.
